An alternative summer journey
Hartmut Dumke, a friend of mine, sent me a song he has recorded together with Klaus Tschabitzer from the Tangoboys. Bus Ride.mp3 | LoFi Itīs a sloppy, catchy tune with calypso horn. I like it, itīs nice. You canīt buy it, there is no album, there is not even a band right now as far as I know. Could be a nice viennese band for this summer. |

Los de Abajo - a mexican Salsa-Punk-Combo
They are active members of the mexican zapatist movement on the one hand and they make very danceable latin punk on the other hand. Los de Abajo are mixing Salsa, Reggae, Mambo etc. with Rock, Punk and even Polka. Samples of their new album Los de Abajo are a bit hidden on their site but not for you. If you canīt dance to it itīs not my revolution, Emma Goldman Los de Abajo are on tour and playing at Szene Wien Wednesday, 5th of july. |

Muddy Men
They do not brush their teeth, do not listen, they often stink and wallow in their on swamp of narcissism. And it's only a few lucid intervals, they've got something to say. Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers - I'm straight.mp3 ° LoFi Hr.Rossi.mp3 goes out to the lounge of occasional wisdom. internalia: Usually you and me are some of those bloggers who meet on a regular basis, but which stinking party are you at tonight, mr. makotter ? makotter: Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I was at the party of the academy of applied arts. Thanks for listening. Good night! |

Stinking Parties
I was net-guest today at TIVīs Andrea Eggerīs Schwerpunktszene which will be broadcasted saturday evening in viennese cabelchannel. The topic was "Stinking Parties" and here come the sites I have selected: A shockwave cat party - very funny | two examples of those bad taste parties (danish, british). itīs always the same: more carneval then bad taste | the champagne anarchists with their decadent actions, thatīs anarchie with style | the most stinking party ever - the austrian freedom party | also rotten, the loveparade and itīs hardcore version, the fuckparade. |

By and by I get a Tourist
As there was some hot chat in the sexy jazz scene I acquired the album Tourist from St Germain. And I was a little bit disappointed in the begining. Some of the tracks respond a bit to a schema called "F" (Schema F). [another example] But now I like some tracks (try a LoFi and some full samples) and can really imagine them perfectly in a cool jazzlounge. Funky, Dancefloor-Jazz-Houze! |

Got a boyfriend for Cat Power
A lonely discobowl took me to Cat Power (Chan Marshall) recently. Now I have bought the CD The Covers Record. Itīs the sweetest, most fragile deconstruction of songs I have ever heard. For example the coverversion of Sea of Love [LoFi]. By accident I also met a man with a moodful, suffering, cracked voice - M Ward [LoFi] - and I thought they were a good match. So I brought them together on EuroRanch Sounds with a nice setup of tracks. |

A Honky-tonk and Post Country lesson
Did not visit the audiogalaxy for a long while which is a big misdoing. But I took a small lesson of their featured Honky-tonk and Post Country - an old vice (Laster) of mine. All of their featured artists are provided with a mp3 sample. Lots of styles and a lot to track down. Lesson examples from Post Country: Randy Weeks, Mulehead Honky-tonk, retro and modern: Roger Wallace, Jim Allen |

Who else could be the winner of our first Lotto but Kris (arf) from NetDyslexia. Congratulation! The CD is on itīs way to you. Coming to the Lottoīs solution now: The midibeats were a cut from "Wanderinī Star" by Lee Marvin. Wanderinī Star.midi | Wanderinī Star.mp3 · LoFi I wish, I would have the half of his bass in my voice. |
