Big in Japan - Shampoo
Everybody (Luna Luce e.g.) is talking about the big comeback of Shampoo, the girly pop power band. They are supposed to distribute their new album exlclusively via their website where you can find ... nothing of interest at the moment. Luna Luce says that they are very famous in Japan where they have sold more records than the Beatles. If you are the same ignorant as I am (never heard of) maybe you can return to mind with Uh Oh We're In Trouble.rm. I think (hope) it's from Shampoo. |

Country-tinged rock with delectable offbeat
That's Shivaree in one sentence. In two sentences: Shivaree is made up of a newbie female lead singer named Ambrosia Parsley, along with veteran musicians who have played with a lot, e.g. Tom Waits. This odd mix is a little bit too construes and the tunes are a little bit too ordinary, but it's nice in a way - country with beats. Get an introducing videoclip at Odeon Records, a liveconcert at Broadcast, a review at Dawson's Creek Music Guide and their last album at amazon.com. internal: Am I doing right h_h? Is this the kind of distributing our bags devotion and content you are talking about? |

Brimful of bytes
Music is more than digital or analog sine waves transmitted to our ears. It's not solely mp3 data exchanged through napster, gnutella or whatever. The exit of napster only means the end to a certain platform for sound file download. That's not of a big problem, since enhanced dynamics throughout the internet will allways grant the possibility of byte exchange. But the meaning of new media such as the www can be other than just pumping data from one to another. Let's make it a place for what it can really do for you: a variety of information provided by interested commenters for an interested audience. And furthermore let the visitors contribute their opinion. That's where a music related weblog comes in. Giving the listener - so far as the consumer (p3k)a role model in music industry - a chance to gain interest for various genres. I'm sure there're many being bored by what they get served from heavy rotation(ND) in tv, radio or the internet. We're building our own community to promote an alternative to monopoly, with devotion and content in our bags. |

Kindergarten - summer break
I've been lazy these days in contributing. First I spent hours persuading my powerbook's cd drive to make 'maennchen' and drive those cds - useless. Telephone support -> spedit to holland. ARGH. Grazie mac (buongiurn' gero). Second is a static site I'm doing for my mama (no link). Third reason is a three year old boy - 'tha luis'. He's a big cheater and a sushi fan. I love to play with him, not only because I'm his papa. Furthermore mr.makotter and me are working on further perspectives of our log, and we will hopefully come up with an advanced music performance within...a short time. internalia: maybe a special feature/department for every visitor till the end of 2000 ?! Meanwhile join arf and tops pumping up the Demand section. |

hahaha - no lotto yesterday
Did you miss it, the Lotto? No? Me neither. I decided that Lottos will only be broadcasted every second week. Every week is too much for me. Small comfort: Enjoy the very fine radiostation luxuriamusic.com. Push the 'listen now'-button right from the middle and select your player. |

I've seen it All
If anybody is interested in Björks song 'I've Seen It All' from the album 'Selmasongs' from the motion picture soundtrack 'Dancer in The Dark' you can download several versions. I am not. h_h: me neither. no, thanks and thank you for the link. |

Yellow magic orchestra
Mr.pants calls them 'The japanese Kraftwerk' . Well, I'm not shure if that's a compliment for YMO (or Kraftwerk viceversa). But looking for audio files I passed this link. Loads of .ram files to the devoted. Ja,ja, it's the eighties. Maybe I like Behind The Mask.ram, but as I switched through the sounds, well, there's this GRRRR slapped and popped bass and those cheesy fm-synths and vocoders all the way down, and, let's see, songtitles like Technopolice, Mad pierrot or the very european La Femme Chinoise.... |

"Thanks for using i-drive!...
....We have placed temporary restrictions on guest access while we implement site enhancements. This will not affect access to your personal i-drive account. We apologize for any inconvenience. " ARGH I will be suprized if they will ever reopen the public access feature again. BTW this means no more Tonino Carotone from makotter's i-drive or Ween from mine (sic!), except.. Except you have already got or sign in for your personal i-drive. Then you'll have access to shared files. And there is a nice list of japanese mp3's on mr.pants i-drive: http://www.idrive.com/misterpants/files/J-Pop/, worth a log-in. the impatient can use my account, id: millefiori, pass: drive |

The Kinda Muzik You Like
Found it at MSP again, the link to the modern music magazine from the netherlands. Featuring an interview with Cat Power for example, who I have also had in my treasure chest for several times (downloads at sounds). Can get various issues of kinda webcast radio every month. Or get some downloads from their sound collection. |
