Giant Sand - yes please! Possibly the best alternative country band is on tour and playing in Szene Wien this sunday. Embedded in the environment of big musicians like Howe Gelb or Joe Burns (Calexico) very feeling and atmospheric Lounge Country with small explosions is produced by Giant Sand. A very big recommendation is going out by EuroRanch! See you tomorrow! |

What a nice domizildomizil.ch: "Domizil considers itself as a platform for coordination, interchange, cooperation and information, mainly focussing on music production of all kinds ... we have poised ourselfes for a long exploration of digital culture, its sounds, socio content, and its methods." And I want to send some congratulations for the nice design to Switzerland and I also like your music and what there hopefully will be coming. Psilodomputer.mp3 on your output-sites is a hit! Possibly you would like to play at an EuroRanch-Club once? |

This weekend will be coming And there will a lot of concerts have to be visited here in Vienna. Two of them are on saturday and you can see both of them. First one is Surrogat in b72. Rock is their album and sympathatic, intelligent Rock is what they are doing. Then I have to sprint to the Flex to see this old wave-band Toxedomoon, remixed & united on Tour with DJ Hell. |

Burn your money days As all of us have consequently celebrated this "buy nothing day" recently, which really was a subversive act of business and symbolic horror, you can turn upward yourself now with zeppotron.com and especially with unnovations, the most useful goods ever, especially in consideration of christmas time. Huh, my English gets longer! |

Two young ladies (names are known in our editorial department) have cliped their impressions of the cities, the Piefke has made a cd-rom out of it and somebody else composed the accompanying music. Furthermore Nikola Hansalik's photo-exhibition "24 hours New York" will be shown and live-music delivered [more on gegenalltag.at]. Mit Gummihandschuhdudlsack und Fenster Skug, an Austrian music magazine (print only), is celebrating it's 10th birthday (is it?) for one month now. Today they are presenting Sergej Mohntau in Viennese rhiz, the bar modern under construction. And if you would like to know what Sergej Mohntau is, you will have to come and see, cause all proclamations are so stupidly cryptic: Ihr erstes abendfüllendes Programm mit Gummihandschuhdudlsack, Elektro-Fenster, selbstgebauten Laptops uvm. |

Ma a'arif nash ma qil bel-qulubWorldmusic sounds like Ethnoparty. Does it? Piefke and me have heard some Turkish (that's what I thought) Disco or Triphop or whatever music yesterday and it came from Natacha Atlas, half Belgium half Egyptian, growing up in the Moroccan suburbs of Brussels. Connected with Transglobal Underground she is doing some pulsing music. We are planing to visit a Turkish Disco soon. |
