I Poopoo On Your JuJu
"The Third Eye Foundation" is a band that I have neither ever heard of nor can I describe their sound although they seem to be making interesting music for at least 5 years now. But it's easy to make up leeway with their website where historical treasures are well revealed. "I Poopoo On Your JuJu" is their last album, released this month, on which they are remixing Tarwater for example.

No other instrument family has formed so many different kinds of music in the last century: columbian cumbias, french musette, argentinian tango, louisiana's zydeco, texmex or the styrian polka. There is already a warmup concert this thursday 22nd with Hans-Peter Falkner (Attwenger) his father and mother and a drummer. Further hints will be suggested ...

lovely sounds from the basement of a recordshop
solex is elisabeth esselink from amsterdam. her first record solex vs. the hitmeister and her second pick up were produced in the basement of her 2nd hand recordshop. the samples from her catchy debut came from obscure 25-cent-bin vinyl from her shop.

ER carpool to Low in Prague
The wonderful band Low is on tour at the moment. Unfortunately they will not visit Austria but fortunately EuroRanch will arrange a carpool (Vienna to Prague), tickets and bead-and-breakfast for the concert in Prague on monday 12th of march. If you are interested, please write me a mail by next week. Don't forget to take the next day (tuesday) off - it would be no fun to drive home at night, but much fun to visit Prague the next day. The Autopilot Knows You Best
And among all the accounts there was this wonderful album in my postbox today, sent by nu gruv alliance San Francisco: "The Autopilot Knows You Best" by The Places on Absolutely Kosher Records. It's the debut long-player for Amy Annelle, full of melancholia very nice songwriting and soothing and memorable singing.

387 Sondermodelle
Peter Fritz was an insurance clerk and model maker in his spare time. His Special Models are reflecting everyday architecture from 50 - 60ies, made of plastic bags, cigarette packages, newspapers or textiles. Bright coloured, detailed miniatures as stand-alone gizmos without the need to share a boring model railway.
Alle 387 Häusl, eine Diashow und eine Reihe themenverwandter Kataloge gibt's bis 18.März im Museum für Volkskunde in Wien.
